The Town of Pierson will be closed Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10 in preparation for Hurricane Milton.
For Pierson residents needing transportation to a hurricane shelter, Volusia County Schools has arranged for two buses to pick up at Pierson Town Center, 116 W. 1st Avenue, on Wednesday, October 9 at 9:00 AM. These buses will provide transportation from Pierson to the DeLand High School shelter.
