The Pierson Municipal Airport runway will be closed from today, October 7, 2025 until 8:00PM on October 21, 2025. This is due to runway conditions from recent rains. If you have any questions, please contact Town Hall.

Volusia County's Animal Intake Shelter is Now Open

Effective October 1, 2025, the Town of Pierson is no longer sheltering stray animals at the Halifax Humane Society. If you take an animal there you will be charged a $300.00 intake fee or turned away.

GFL Environmental will be changing the pick-up day for recycling as of October 6, 2025. The new recycling pick-up day will be on Mondays and trash service will continue to be on Tuesdays.

GFL garbage pick-up delayed due to weather
